The sometimes camera shy, Mr. Pants, decided to be quite photogenic today. This doesn’t happen every day, so I decided to make the most of it and take some pics of him.

Even with this crazy weather, Mr. Pants found a place to enjoy the outside. Pretty much all day he has been hanging out by the clothesline in the partial sun. The only good part about this weather is that with the 40+ kph wind gusts, the clothes have been drying pretty quickly.

Mr. Pants has an obsession – a weird obsession. He is obsessed with bed and making beds. This is Mr. Pants enjoying his latest bed that he made on the front porch.

After I took a ton of pics, he finally woke up and looked straight at the camera for this shot.

Sometimes it’s really hard to get out of bed in the morning. Sure, Mr. Pants does take up the whole bed, but he does know how to look adorable.

I realized that I haven’t posted any pics of Mr. Pants lately, so here he is on the beach a couple of days ago. Even though he’s getting old, he still loves it here.

Today the Pants turns 9 years old! Ok, maybe not exactly, but we celebrate him today. We got him from a shelter on this day four years ago. By looking at his teeth and other health issues, his vet guesses that he is nine. So today, we celebrate his ninth year of life. Tonight, he will have a burger from one of his favorite restaurants and if all goes well, we hopefully will get a video of him singing happy birthday with us.

To commemorate this wonderful occasion, here’s my favorite pic of Pants from this fall. Here is Pants doing one of his new favorite past times – babysitting. He loves taking care of our friend’s baby. He is quite protective of her, watches over her, and carefully tucks her in over and over until the blanket is to his liking.

Well it’s finally fall. We closed up the cottage a couple of weeks ago. Things have been so hectic with work and everything back in Ohio, that I haven’t been online much. Posts about the last week on the island, closing, and random island things that I haven’t gotten around to posting will be posted soon though. I promise. Until then, as a teaser of the wrap up posts to come, here’s Colleen and Mr. Pants on their last trip from the island to mainland for the season. The boat is packed with random things to go in the car for the long ride home.

I brought my fisheye lens to the cottage this summer and I finally started using it the other day. Here is a pic of Victoria getting kisses from Mr. Pants on the porch.

Pants has calmed down a lot this year and has been a great host to all of our visitors, even the furry ones.

Now that I’ve uploaded a couple more videos, I thought I’d share this one too. Here’s Mr. Pants the other day snacking on his broccoli bone. He loves fruits and veggies. He eats raw potatoes, carrots, radishes, celery, lettuce, apples, watermelon, etc. He loves broccoli stalks the most though. Here he is munching on one the other day when we were still stuck on the island.
