Comments (2) On Saturday, I headed to Rosseau for their annual wooden boat and classic car show. There was a decent variety of classic cars, including the gems shown below. As for the boats, this show was a small fraction the size of the annual Gravenhurst show, but the boats were still gorgeous nonetheless.

There was a Johnson 35 Seahorse on this Peterborough. It made me wonder what motor used to be on our Peterborough in its glory days:
I used to have a similar era Mercury Mark 30 on my 1954 Lyman runabout:

This boat wasn’t in the water, so I thought the plastic blue tablecloth was a nice touch. It gave the watery effect and hid the trailer.

What a classy way to go around the bay:
My other favorite was this one. Back in the day, when our island still had its boathouse with the apartment on top, a 36 foot launch similar to this one was docked inside. All that’s left of it are the seats.

Even though I was busy at the Sportbike Rally the day before, I made the drive on Sunday to Gravenhurst for day two of their annual classic and antique boat show. Normally this show is a one day event to show off restored wooden boats, but this year, they made it a two day event. Day one was still devoted to classic and antique wooden boats and day two had classic cars and classic fiberglass boats. Though the focus was fiberglass on Sunday, many amazing wooden boats were still on display. I took well over 100 pictures that day and I put a lot on my Flickr page, which you can find here. Below are some of my favorite fiberglass boats from the day. I’ll make other posts with my favorite wooden boats and cars. Enjoy!
