This is the latest configuration of my home office. The kayak provides a nice desk for my wifi extender and the laptop. I added the umbrella the other day. It adds shade so I can see the laptop screen in the daylight.

Whenever I have new visitors up to Action Island, they all seem amazed at the clarity of the water. I think my visiting friends must all be used to Ohio’s dirt bottomed lakes. Up here it’s all rock and sand, so our water stays nice and clear.

Our shore is covered with small pebbles and the water isn’t mucky at all.

It’s so clear that you can see the beach glass that washes up each day. Can you spot the glass?

Late last week, I put this year’s finishing touches on the outhouse. Victoria and her husband started painting it a few weeks ago, and I did some of the details. We’ll be adding more details next summer. Until then though, here is out 111 year old outhouse in all its beach themed glory.

I took this quick video on my camera the other day while I was on our beach. A sea plane is going over and the loons that are swimming nearby are making lots of noise. This was the most action on the beach all day. Yes, another sleepy quiet day in cottage country.
