I found this in town at a local antique store. Yes, it really is a bedpan with a painting inside it. I’m not really sure what to say other than “no comment”.

Here is a pic of the wonderful lighthouse drawing that I found at the town dump the other day. Isn’t it great? It’s framed and everything. I just need to put it back in the frame and find a place to hang it. Gotta love island art.

You can tell it’s almost the end of the summer season when the day’s blueberry harvest is this small. My countdown to next summer will have to be starting pretty soon I think.

The sometimes camera shy, Mr. Pants, decided to be quite photogenic today. This doesn’t happen every day, so I decided to make the most of it and take some pics of him.

After patching things up, Toadie and Frank decided to take the high road and go to the end of the island together. They even made a new friend when they got there. Toadie and Frank really seem to enjoy the end of the island. I think that they will be staying there for a while.

They have new names…..Toadie and Frank. Soon after getting their bearings and getting used to being on dry land again, Toadie and Frank argued about whether or not they should take the path less traveled or not. This led to them keeping their distance from each other for a while.
Toadie opts for the path less traveled:

Frank – quite certain that Toadie is wrong…

Now that our travelers made it to dry land, they decided to check out the cottage and the local scene.

After a very rough trip out to the island from town, our friends made it to Action’s rocky shore. This really must be quite an adventure for them. I wonder if they have names. What should we name them? Any ideas?

A new adventure started today for our new found friends. Though we aren’t sure where our friends’ story began, we found our new pals at the town dump. At the dump, people leave things next to the dumpsters if they thought that the items were too nice to just throw out. Over the years, we have gotten some interesting items from the dump – everything from perfectly good frying pans to lawn furniture. When we were at the dump today, we found our two new friends and a really pretty framed drawing of lighthouse that someone made. I’ll have to take a pic of it once we hang it up here. Anyway, back to our friends…here they are starting their watery journey to Action Island. They look so excited about their upcoming boat trip, don’t they? I’ve always wanted a gnome to take pictures of in random places (like Matthew Good did in the ‘Antipop’ video). Who knew that instead of just having one gnome, I’d have two? More pictures of their island adventure to come…

The rain and gross weather don’t seem to be stopping. Today was extremely windy and the water was really rough. Not even the birds wanted to be out in this weather. Here are some ducks and a lone heron staying by the dock for protection.
